Besides having entry into the park all year long, annual passes offer a whole array of special perks to its holders. One of those perks are the AP Days – the Annual Passholder Days. This time around, they are MainStreet Electrical Parade themed, and all perks that come along with the AP Days carry this theme.
Passholder Lounge
Currently going on, passholders have access to an exclusive passholder lounge in TomorrowLand inside the Starcade. It is never crowded as only a certain number of people will be let in at a time (but you may need to wait in line to get in, depending on how full the park is). It’s a nice retreat from a busy park, with a sitting area with nice couches and chairs, special character meet and greets, a crafts area for the kids, PhotoPass picture opportunities, arcade games, and special AP merchandise only available to passholders.
Special AP Pin
If you’re a pin trader or collector, go to the AP lounge and get your special AP pin and lanyard! We sure got them!
Special Buttons
Available in front of the AP Lounge, passholders, upon showing their pass and ID, can pick up special collectible buttons that change every week and are all Electrical Parade themed! They’re free – show off your Disney AP pride and collect one a day (need to show you annual pass and have it scanned!
Special Food and Treats
Throughout the park at select locations, you can get special treats only available to Annual Passholders. And at every popcorn location, you can buy a sturdy plastic bucket of popcorn, also MainStreet Electrical Parade themed, for $15 and get $1 refills as often as you like until April 16, just by bringing back this bucket and showing your annual pass and ID.
The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe features many of these treats; I’m particularly in love with the Cheshire Cat cookie! Where to find what is displayed by the button distribution table, as well as inside the AP Lounge.
Special Character Meet and Greets and Photo Ops
Inside the AP lounge are special character meet and greets with VERY small to no lines, and throughout the week, there are special Star Wars meet and greets – ask in the lounge for details!
If you’re not yet a passholder, but this looks like so much fun and you’re on the verge of getting one, check out my post on annual pass math to see which one you should get, how affordable it is, and which year-long perks come with holding a Disneyland Annual Pass. I’m hoping you’ll join the Disney family – it’s the most magical family on earth! 🙂
